Name: Loie Ann Webb
Age: 8
Current Bike: 2009 KTM 65
Where do you ride? I ride all over the Brisbane area, Tivoli, Stanmore, Coolum, Kilcoy but i usually only get to ride on a Sunday because dad works weekend shifts.
Favourite Tracks: I love Coolum & Tivoli, but i also like Washbrook Farm and Artmthorpe in the UK.
Sponsors: I would like to thank Simon from Wadwell Off Road Coaching for helping me out with my riding recently, MotoXaction for making my video and of course Big Boss Graphics for making my bike look cool
Recent Results: I just competed in the Go Girls Gathering at Reedy Creek in 7-10 class and won it - 25 -25 -25 i found it really hard - i crashed bad in practice - i bruised my rib and chipped a bone in my wrist.
There are some quick girls in that age group and it was the 1st time i have competed with them because i have just moved from the divi 1 50cc- class they gave me a good race, i would like to wish them all the best for the rest of the season
*Update* I raced the last round of the “Go Girls” at Tivoli this weekend, i didn’t have the sort of day i was hoping for, my rear brake broke during practice and i had to race the rest of the day without one but i dont want to make excuses, i was off the pace in the first race and struggled to pass some slower riders in the others, never mind i went to Stanmore on Sunday and kicked some butt!!!
*Update 2* 19th April 2009 Raced at the Queensland Womens titles on my 65 - 10/11th april. I have been having some bad luck in the girls races recently with falls and bike issues on my 2009 which has been annoying because Olivia Sippell has been beating me and i know i have the speed to beat her in a race where all goes well. That said i need to stay on the bike. After the first days racing my results were 2 - 1 - 1 and i was feeling really good, but overnight it poured down and the track was in a terrible condition. Olivia rode really well in the mud and i struggled, but it still came down to the last race where i was about to pass an older age group rider so i could catch up to the lead and she decided to park her bike sideways right in front of me ( thank you Alex Evans) I got 2nd overall in the girls and 4th overall in the mixed - but i can ride that age group again next year. I am glad i managed to make a race of the wekend for a change, My dad says the luckiest place to be is out front so i need to work on my starts
Congratulations Olivia. and thank you for your kind words after the last race * lOiE*
Heroes: Ashley Fiolek - and Cooper Webb, Ashley just kiks ass i speak to her on myspace a bit, and Cooper Webb could probably beat Ryan vilopoto on his 65, i am claiming him as my brother..
Final Comments: Thanks to all my sponsors, thanks to mum and dad for helping me do this.
